Since the Great Recession of 2008 it has been argued that the UK has reverted to a traditional class based society in which the lower classes are ruled over by a privately educated political elite from the citadel known as London. Implementing policies which make social mobility an impossibility for the vast majority of the population.
Boris, Gove, Dave, Face plays with the topics of class, accent, language and humour, as a strategy in order to satirise politicians and to highlight the neo-liberal agenda that still permeates political thought in Britain today.
I have also created a blog which serves as an ongoing attempt to record the redactions and actions of the UK political parties in response to the Tory party deleting old speeches from their website permanently from the internet in 2013.
